I Know That You Want the Candy

Happy Easter to all who celebrate it!  I for one am looking forward to the Easter feaster my mom always makes today.  I can't wait to bring my daughter over there and hunt for eggs and such.  And, of course, I can't wait for candy.  Om nom nom.

Pierced and Fierce

Just a head shot for you today.  I usually do shots from the waist up and here is my secret: I do from the waist up 1. to show better detail on the face/accessories/etc. because it's closer and I am too lazy to take a far away and a close-up for one post and 2. it means I don't have to wear shoes or pants or anything. LOL.  Now you know. :P 

My piercings are one of the current hunt gifts from Phoebe's Piercings.  It's really fun with the tiny little dangling skull and is mod to fit your face.  There are unisex hunt gifts in the store so the boys should check it out too.  My hair is one of several colors in the April Action Hair VIP group (250L join fee) and I love this store because they give so many gifts and they are always lovely.  My skin is by me, lol, for the Adore&Abhor VIP group (50L join fee.)  My eyes are from Banana Banshee for Wear Gray and there are lots of colors available. The event is a charity event and is one of the few events that I know are totally legit donation wise so make sure to check it out. My shape is from Savoir Faire at Motif and is mod and super cute.  Motif is a new event for some designers buddies to just work together and have fun and I am excited to see what we all can bring each month.  My prim lashes are oldies but goodies from Redgrave.

I was looking around Marketplace out of boredom the other day and I stumbled across this pretty cheapie shirt and neck scarf combo.  I'm all about finding new places for meshy goodness so I thought I would share this.  Plus, hey, pink and hearts for the win!  I like the sort of innocent feel of the pattern and higher collar with the naughty cropped bottom and I thought wearing the hair bridle from Hate Me and Eat Me with it would add that extra sauciness to it.  My skin was a hunt gift from The Skin You're In and unfortunately it doesn't appear to be available any longer.  There are, however, other hunt gifts and MM boards, etc. in the store so check it out.

Pink Plus Green Equals Win

One of my all time favorite color combinations is definitely pink and green, especially in very bright versions like this.  Torley got something right! 

My eye makeup is from Boom and is only a whopping 1L and it comes with lashes and no lashes options.  My piercings are from Phoebe's Piercings & More, a new to me store, and I think they are well made.  They are modifiable so you can easily get the fit you want if your lip shape is more on the extreme end.  They are a group gift for the Feebs Neko Mall.  My skin is from Sn@tch and I adore this face!  I have to warn you though that the body is totally cray-cray crazy!  The boobs are eyeballs! LOL!  Totally fun for spooky pictures or regular pretty photos if you cover them up.  The top I am wearing is part of a super fun outfit from Vaughan's House of Curiosities and is not free BUT it is a 100% charity donation item at Fashion For Life HERE. The Fashion For Life event ends today so hurry to grab it!  The eyes are my standbys from Croire and are not free.  My hair is from Amacci and is not free.  I tinted it to be a slightly brighter green.

Gifties and More Charity Gownage!

Gownage isn't a word, I know. BUT AWESOME IS.  So have a peek at an awesome gown from Eclectic Firefly which is an awesome donation item with proceeds going to the awesome Relay For Life charity.  Yep, three awesomes in that sentence.  Because giving to charity is awesome x3.  I also want to note that the studio box I am using is on the Marketplace for only 199L from Kamrek Creations and has FORTY-SEVEN different texture options so check it out! 

On the freebie front we have this adorable crown in the notices of the December update group.  I love all the little details and the color of it especially.  My skin is new from Matrioska and isn't free but I am all about supporting new skin brands, especially those that cater to the spooky in any way!

Just a little mix and match look for you today before I go back to enjoying my lovely, rainy Sunday.  Anyone but me just love cloudy, slightly gloomy, but still warmish days?  Love them.  Anyway, my outfit is from Sn@tch.  The ivory-colored over shirt is part of a dress that you can win from the lucky boards in several colors.  My shirt and shorts are part of a set of about a zillion pieces (including roller skate sneakers and a skating AO!) that you can win in the 7Seas fishing pond** next to the lucky board.  My bag is a group gift from Tee*fy in store and it's mesh and so cute and also includes a larger shoulder style bag.

My hair is from Vive9 at Collabor88 and is pretty cool because it comes with a tattoo layer hair base portion that works to make the hair have a realistic center part.  My skin is from Adore&Abhor at Flux and is only 100L.  I took the eyebrow off the skin and added a little drama with the eyebrow remover that comes inside the punk eyebrows pack at Miss Shippe's Studio.

**Note about 7Seas fishing:
To use the 7Seas fishing system *and* win all prizes you must purchase a pro rod (it's around 250L or something like that I think) and use bait (30L for 100 pieces.)  The fishing rod then can be used at any location that has 7Seas fishing and you don't ever have to purchase another rod, just bait when you run out.  There are a zillion places that allow 7Seas fishing so it's very worth the cost.

Getting Rough

Hi all!  Check out what I have for you today!  My lovely mesh hair is from Exile and is a subscriber gift.  not sure how long it will be available but as of this morning it still was.  My skin is from CStar and is only 19L a pop in the gacha!  There are other gachas there and you can even win one version of this skin free in the lucky board.  My shorts are one of a zillion hunt gifts you can get from Chandelle in store (see more HERE.)  My knee pads are from a new to me creator, Vikki Placebo, and they are mesh and they are awesome and color change and they are not free but you need them. Well, I needed them, you might too.  It's nice to bend my av's legs without things strangely poking through my thigh.

Vroom

I wanted to run in quick to share these fun shoes that are a group gift from Ladies Who Lunch.  Oftentimes people will call their store's style "avant garde" when really they just put random prims all over and make a mess of something and...yeah; LWL, however, *is* always ahead of the time, making glamorous pieces, and sometimes even makes things that are fun, good quality and unique.  These shoes are a little more on the silly/quirky side, as opposed to their usual high fashion style, and that's what I love about this.  Taking a moment away from the serious and doing something fun is why I adore SL in general.  Gimme all the cupcake things, please! LOL.

Cupcakes has this cute dress for only 10L at their main store right now.  Other colors are available for 150L each.  It's mesh and uses standard sizing.  Love!  I plan on blogging more goodies from Cupcakes soon because 1.I love mesh and 2.I love good deals. :P

Happy Valentine's Day!

Some people hate Valentine's Day but I like it because 1.I like pink and red 2.I like those chalky heart candy things and 3.It gives me an excuse to tell my friends I love them without sounding like a creeper.  I put together this outfit with some fun free, cheap and not free things for you today.  My tights, skin and hair are not free but they are from the Back to Black event which is really important to me.  The event is to promote awareness of mental health issues and you can find facts posted all over the venue as well as inside of purchased items.  My dress is from Cupcakes and is one of many lucky chair prizes.  Love this color!  My stockings are from Sleeping Koala and come in a version with fishnet in the open panels as well.

 I want to show a close-up of the contents of the cute little Valentine's gift from Deviant Girls.  Normally I don't like anything with a brand name on it but "Deviant Girls" is such a cool name I like this anyway. My lipstick kiss is a subscriber gift from Izzie's.  It comes in a few shades of pink and red to match your look.  My little mouth heart candy is from RezIpsa Loc and is only 5L per try in the gacha at the Love is in the Air event at the Cupcakes sim.  My hair is from Mina at Back to Black and comes with the matching hair bases as well.

My boots are not free or from Back to Black, lol, but they are a new release from A-Bomb and I adore this store so you get to see them anyway. :P

Happy Birthday Kitties!

I love KittyCats.  I have never been into a breedable in SL for more than a few weeks but I've been into KittyCats for almost a year now and still love them.  Since they have been around about a year now they are having a birthday celebration!!  For a limited time only you can grab these 2 kitties totally free.

The orange kitty I got by simply clicking the birthday poster in the store near the giant, blue cat.  For the blue cat you have to do a bit more work.  You must click the poster behind the giant cat to get an LM.  Go to that LM and find a small, blue kitty.  This cat will give you an LM to the next and so on.  Once you have found all 13 cats you can go back to the main store and click giant kitty for your own blue cat!
*Please note that these are BREEDABLE pets and require feeding to "live."  The food is NOT free but these cats come with a week or so worth of food to start with as part of the gift.  If you would like to know more about KittyCats check their website or join the official group and ask questions!

Quick and Red

Just doing a quick post today of some great items.  Ignore the questionable quality of the photos.  I'm low on time but these items were too fun not to post even when busy.  For example, this shirt from Paper.Doll is just adorable!  It's clearly meant to be a Valentine's day theme but it's totally awesome for everyday where.  I am pretty sure I am going to wear this top a zillion times.

This unusual hair style is free from Mina.  It's always fun to get styles with textures different from the normal straight and smooth.  The burgundy color will please those who are used to only seeing black and blonde too!  I tinted the headband in edit mode to better match the shirt and because I love read, lol.  My skin is not free but it's a new release from Adam N Eve.  I love it so hard!  Every skin this store releases is better than the last.  I love how she includes things like freckles, manicures and pedicures that match the tones, cleavage, hair bases, etc.  Everything you need to get the skin just the way you like it.

Peeking

I have this skin from My UglyDorothy and I just thought it looked so interesting with the tattoo layer makeup from Miss Shippe's Studio for the Flux event.  I felt aged and broken, yet romantic and filled with history.  I used the keyhole photography hud from Vaughan's House of Curiosities because it just seems like this woman would be someone people would work hard to see because, even as she ages and becomes more cynical and worn from her chosen profession, she would still retain that certain something, that feeling of pure sexuality, that can't be seen or named and certainly doesn't exist only in youth.  I hope you enjoy them as well as the other wonderful things I am wearing tonight.

Happy Birthday Sanura!

Okay so I'm a day late but happy birthday to Sanura Snowpaw, creator of Somnia.  To celebrate her birthday as well as the one year re-branding anniversary, everything in the store is half off or more.  Somnia also has new lucky chairs (one of which contains my fave cardis) and riot vendors as well as new fortune teller prizes.  The items I am wearing (the tank top, long sleeved shirt and jeans) are part of the 50% off or more sale.  These jeans are just flawless so if you like nice, inexpensive jeans now is the time to grab some up.
